Investigating the concept of memento mori (remember that you will die) I go into the classic icons of Baroque symbolism, representing them in a very fragile way (fine lines of water, pencil and ink) on a material that does not hold them, granite.
So these secular symbols lean thinly on the stone, eternal material par excellence, leaving us the fleeting interpretation, inmediate of the metalic reflections, translucent shadows and lightness intentionally dying on the marble.

The project is developed as drawings in mixed media, pencil, marker, watercolour, gouache and ink on granite and marble slabs of 5x5cm or 8x8cm
